Control Vehicle 961
The Šumperk company Pars nova reconstructs Bdt vehicles from the 1980s as control cars of the Bfhpvee (961) series.
This is a four-axle fully air-conditioned 2nd class car, which is used to transport passengers over medium and long distances at a maximum speed of 140 km/hr. The control car fully controls and monitors individual cars in the train. The driver controls the electric or motor locomotives through inter-car communication. The safety windshield is designed for speeds of up to 200 km/h, and it is equpped with heating, a wiper and a washer.
The control car fully satisfies the new technical specifications for interoperability (TSI), it is ready for the installation of ETCS devices and is equipped with the latest safety and communication elements. New electric equipment, including cabling, is installed in the vehicle. The passenger compartment offers 58 seats and a room for transporting two wheelchairs. The car also contains a multipurpose room for transporting bicycles, prams and bulky luggage. The car is equipped with a vacuum toilet, changing table, washbasin and other amenities. The car contains garbage bins for recyclable waste. Passenger comfort is increased with an audiovisual information system.
