The Ostrava Škoda plant entices over two thousand visitors

The alluring chance to take a look behind the scenes of the production of modern trains attracted crowds of visitors to the production facilities of the Ostrava Škoda plant.

More than two thousand people, which is almost double the number in previous years, turned up for a tour of the complex where new wagons for the railway in Latvia and push-pull sets for the Moravian-Silesian Region are being built. The Ostrava production base of the Škoda Transportation Group not only invited those interested to visit the production facilities, but also offered an extensive accompanying programme. One of the biggest attractions of the entire event was the tours of where the production of rough car body structures and the assembly of vehicles takes place. Visitors were able to check out the places where RegioPanter trains for domestic railway lines and electric units for Latvia are being built. The organisers also made sure to include children, for whom they prepared creative games and an entertaining accompanying program.

We are pleased that we could present the company to visitors as a very modern base and also boast about the investments that have been made in recent years, such as the new surface treatment hall. The children were probably thrilled the most by the giant jumping locomotive.
