Together with the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV), the German industry association will present a future-oriented programme.
Digitalization, decarbonization, expansion – these are not only our goals, but also the leitmotif of the annual VDV 2022 conference. In Frankfurt, it is all about looking into the future of the industry – and doing our best to tackle the tasks that we initially had to postpone as a result of the Covid crisis. Germany would like to become less dependent on energy imports from abroad and must be climate neutral by 2045, and by 2030 the transport sector must significantly reduce CO2 emissions – with a significant increase in bus and rail transport for passengers and goods.
The conference expects around 630 companies from the public passenger and freight rail transport sector, including transport associations. After a long period of pandemonium, which was mainly characterised by digital exchange, we are looking forward to being part of one of the largest mobility congresses in Germany once again.
